Artist's Statement: Customs and rituals surrounding the cooking and sharing of food remain one of the cultural indicators that define differences. People, Eastern or Western, retain their cultural identities, habits, behaviors, or use of specific utensils. Everyone unconsciously looks for things related to their culture. Standing at a cross culture point, I see differences in thoughts, handling processes, and manners. I learn to embrace various views and raise my adjustability level. I import this concept into my work to convey cultural distinctions.
