Artist's Statement: This recent body of work is the result of a fascination with material. Paper adds an element of softness, brings color and texture to my work. It has the linear qualities I am always reaching for in my designs and pushes the boundaries of common material used in jewellery fabrication. Combined with precious metals and pearls, this work speaks to my love of detail and ornamentation. The untraditional pairing of precious and non-precious media challenges the idea of value of material and design.
