ARTIST'S STATEMENT: I have been drawn towards the past, its traditional themes, its intriguing and time consuming techniques. As for many, nature has offered an endless supply of inspiration. Extracting and abstracting patterns, each bead becomes a vignette, telling an enduring and seemingly simple story through a complex process. The work is dynamic. The twelve beads infer calendar divisions and thus the passage of time. The reversible beads engage the wearer to create unique patterns joining the creative process.
